Judy Stiffler, 81, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Cordova, Alabama, the town where she was born on December 12, 1943. Her life was deeply rooted in the community she called home from beginning to end.
Judy was a devoted mother to her three daughters—Libby Fuqua, Donna Woods, and Ann Gilbert. She cherished her role as matriarch to a large and loving family that includes many grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Her brother, John Crump, also remains to honor her memory.
Family was at the heart of Judy’s life. She found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories through shared meals, laughter-filled gatherings, and quiet moments of connection. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of homemade cakes and pies—baking was one of her favorite ways to show love.
Judy had a playful spirit and enjoyed board games and card games with family and friends. These simple pleasures brought people together and reflected her warm and welcoming nature. A lifelong fan of all things Elvis Presley, Judy’s admiration for the King of Rock 'n' Roll added a touch of fun and flair to her personality.
Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and inspired. Judy’s presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her. A Memorial Gathering will be held on May 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mt Carmel Cemetery in Cordova, Alabama.
