Mr. Justin Tyler McClendon

The family will be receiving friends today, May 4, 2018, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 11 a.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Pisgah Baptist Church. Ricky Williams and Howard Thompson will officiate.

Tyler was co-owner/operator of TerraPro LLC. He was born on May 11, 1987 in Jasper. He was the president of Walker County Cattleman’s Association and on the Board of Young Farmers of Walker County. Tyler was initiated into the first degree of Masonry on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at York Lodge 211 F.&A.M. in Jasper. He loved his many friends and family, duck hunting and working was his passion. He had planned his life with Kalissa Gann, the love of his life. They were planning to be married September 29 of this year. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayland Sherer, Gene and Edna Freeman, and T.J. and Bunt McClendon.

He is survived by his fiancé, Kalissa Gann; parents, Billy and Jennifer McClendon; grandmother, Wilene Sherer; uncle, Phillip Freeman (Nancy); aunt, Netta Parrish; cousin, Kellie Muncher (Mike); and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Walker County Cattleman’s Association and the Young Farmers of Walker County.

Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Freeman, Lin Drummond, David Muncher, Chase Chambless, Wade Atkins, Ben Fowler, Gary Handley, Patric Suchey, John Lawson, Eddie Jackson, Cattlemen’s Association members, Young Farmers of Walker County, and TerraPro.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Woods, Corey Wilson, Todd Wright, Mason Boren, Haley Williams, Jordan Aldridge, Shawn Robinson, and Cade Grace.
