
Mary Frances McGough Young, 83, of Millington, Tenn., passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at Millington Nursing Home in Millington, Tenn. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 26, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Old Flatwoods Cemetery. The Rev. John Billy Butler will officiate. Young graduated from Carbon Hill High School in 1952. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1955 at the First Baptist Church of Carbon Hill. She fulfilled her roll as a mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. She loved people and everyone loved her. She will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie B. McGough and Lear C. McGough; sister, Betty J. Crossland; twin brothers, Harlos T. “Pug” McGough and Carlos B. “Runt” McGough; nephew, Darly McGough; and brothers-in-law, Ken Smith and Bill McCoy. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Yarbrough (Wesley) of Millington, Tenn.; son, Rev. Bodi Young (Jodi) of Munford, Tenn.; grandchildren, Baccus Yarbrough (Cori) of Atoka, Tenn., Tyler Yarbrough (Madison) of Millington, Tenn., and Emily Young and Corbin Young, both of Munford, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Willie Mae Smith of Jasper, Diane McCoy of Bartlett, Tenn., and Tommie L. Key (Scott) of Wetumpka; sister-in-law, Annette McGough; brother-in-law, Hershel Crossland; and several nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved very much.
