Graveside service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 1 p.m., at New Prospect Cemetery, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Blake Prater will officiate.
Melba was a lifelong resident of Jasper. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a manager of Woolworth. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Lynn Cooner; parents, William David Richardson and Pearl Roberts Richardson; siblings, Nellodean Underwood (Charles), Herbert Richardson and Ralph Richardson.
She is survived by her son, Michael Lynn Cooner (Dolores) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Prospect Baptist Church.
