
Nan Randolph Cox, 83, of Parrish, passed away February 10, 2017, at St. Vincents Hospital. Visitation will be held today, Feb. 14, 2017, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 14, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Providence Cemetery. Phillip Woods will officiate. Cox was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jasper. She was a physical education teacher at Oakman High School for 34 years. She loved God, birds, nature and seeing things grow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Gordon Cox Jr.; granddaughter, Lauren Frances; parents, Wiley Griffin Randolph and Vera Randolph; and brothers, Huey Griffin Randolph, Ray S. Randolph, Bruce R. Randolph and Bobby Joe Randolph. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Anna Payne (David); grandsons, Jeremiah Payne and Joshua Payne; her precious, Kathleen Hyland; sisters, Kate Myers and Peggy Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews and the most wonderful friends anyone could have. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Jasper, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Audubon Society, or any other charity of one’s choice.
