Family will be receiving friends on Monday, Jan. 16, 2026, from 1 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Ashbank Cemetery. Elder Jimmy Burkhalter and Donny Dodd will officiate.
He was preceded by parents, Jessie B and Fannie Nix German; brothers, Alton German, Elvin German, Jessie German, Leslie German; sister, Betty Davis; grandsons, Brent Edwards and Brandon Scoles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Peggy Ann German; daughters, Wanda Morgan of Nauvoo and Lisa Hardy of Jasper; sister, Evelyn Pennington of Sumiton; granddaughters, Amanda Barton, Hope Hollis, Paige Hollis, Destiny Hollis, Kristen LeAnn Barron; great-granddaughters, Paislee Hollis, Mikensley Hollis and Kailee Edwards; great-grandson, Hudson Lane; great-great granddaughters, Octavia Scoles and Blakely Scoles.
Pallbearers will be Craig McClure, Tony German, John Hollis and friend.
