Mrs. Bessie Lovett

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church 11200 Old Jeanerette Road Jeanerette, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bessie leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Cynthia Carter of New Iberia, Louisiana; her three grandsons, Dion (Dominic) Carter of Katy, Texas, Sami Haggood of Austin, Texas, and Jules (LaTonya) Blackwell of Norristown, Pennsylvania; three siblings, Alice Cobb of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mary Ann Gardener and Alexander Moore, both of Fayetteville, North Carolina; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Haggood and Alex Lovett, Jr.; her mother, Mainer Moore; her son, Joel Holmes, and six siblings.
