Anne Bodnar Cutler

Anne was born October 30, 1917 in Sagamore, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Susan Wargo Bodnar.

Anne graduated from Sagamore High School as the Valedictorian of the class of 1935 and obtained her R.N. degree from the Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at the former Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg until her retirement in 1975.

In 1948, she married William A. Cutler and lived with him for over 50 years in Rices Landing until his death in 1999.

Anne was an avid reader and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. She also loved watching her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surviving is a daughter, Yvonne Cutler Hauser, and her husband Allen of Cornelius, NC, with whom she had made her home; a grandson, USAF Captain Allen William Hauser and his fiancé’ Jaclyn Wolf of West Ashley, SC; 3 step-granddaughters, Tammy (Rich) Rode of Pittsburgh, PA, Tracy (Steve) Simmons of Elkridge, MD, and Sherri Gigliotti of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and 10 step- great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cutler was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Rices Landing.

Anne’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Huntersville Oaks, Northlake Home Memory Care and Novant Hospice, for their exceptional, kind, and loving care of Anne and her family.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart RC Church, Rices Landing, with Fr.
