He was born on December 14, 1962 in Cleveland, OH to Shirley Adamson Basinger and the late Wayne Basinger. He was a 1980 graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School. Bubba worked a long career as a concrete specialist for over 20 years and also worked at the Ammeraal Beltech in Jefferson. He enjoyed socializing with his friends at the Jefferson Hotel and was a social member of the Jefferson Legion Post 954. Dave was an avid sports fan and loved all Pittsburgh and Penn State sports, as well as Nascar and golf. He enjoyed trips to fishing camp on the Shenandoah river, hunting, spending time outdoors, and listening to country music. He also enjoyed his sweet tea, chocolates, and other sweets.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Basinger of Waynesburg; siblings, Ernie Basinger (Michelle) of Rices Landing, Donna Balazick (Jeff) of Waynesburg, and Dan Basinger of Waynesburg; children, David Basinger (Katie) of Clarksville, Zack Basinger (Dawn) of Clarksville, and Payge Anderson of Vestaburg; and nephew, Keith Walters of Waynesburg.
Funeral arrangements will be private. The family asks in lieu of flowers, to enjoy a beverage for Bubba.
