Dear Cousin Mavis,  Wish I could give you a hug.  Uncle Eddie was such an amazing man who smiled through all his pain like no one I've ever known.  I'm sure he joked up until the end.  I have very early memories of him, when he still lived on grandpa's farm and he gave me a ride on a horse when I was 2 or 3.   I remember when he brought your beautiful mom to the USA from England.    I always knew when I saw him that he would be smiling and joking.  He truly brightened our lives. My brother and I spent a lot of time with young Eddie growing up in Clarksville hanging out in the summer and sled riding in the winter.  That's where I came to know  Big Ed.....Always had a good story or joke to tell.......He was working at Gateway  Mine when I started there in 1975 and he often  would share a good story with me before going underground.....He was a proud union man who served his country when called.....Thank you for your service Ed....May you rest in peace

Dear Uncle Eddie, I have such great memories, coming to the farm  as a kid, all the jokes. A special memory when you came to Illinois and my kids got to know you. My son Zak especially was fascinated by you and we often spoke of that time.  You made your mark on us all.  Memories we are so lucky to have.

God bless you Uncle Eddie.  When I was in grade school Uncle Eddie would tease me and call me LiL' Iodine and rough up my hair.  I remember the first few times I got mad. Then I realized it was a pet name that he used just for me and that he said it in good humor.  From then on I would  say"Yep that's me" and we would laugh.  Years later when he would visit Florida we would still have a laugh about it. That is how I will remember him, full of laughter and mirth.  A good loving spirit. God speed Uncle Eddie, I love you.

Ed was a wonderful man who was so kind to us throughout the years.  Bo Hunter, Allie and I will miss him. Prayers to his daughter Mavis and family.

We will miss your fun filled spirit.  You were always a joy to be around.  You made us laugh and laugh.Your stories of your adventures in the service were thrilling; your jokes had us rolling - and you moonshine had us seeing stars.  One of my most favorite memories ever is drinking moonshine with you while shooting riffles off the deck.  You were a special man who leaves behind a wonderful family.  You were loved by so many because you loved so greatly. 

We know you are having a good time right now up in heaven - giving the angels and saints a heck of a time.  We will miss you.

I  will miss my Uncle Eddie.  I always enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor and his warmth.  He always had a smile.

Also surviving are a step-daughter, Donna Longhi of Canonsburg; three step-sons, Michael Horvath of Port St. Lucy, James Horvath of Meadowlands, and Bob Horvath of California; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Muscavitch of Clarksville; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie Mayhut of Lawrenceburg, TN.
He was predeceased by his wives, Mavis Smith, Mary Podruski, Ruth Thistlewaite, and Frances Carney.Deceased in addition to his wives are a son, Edward K. Muscavitch; a daughter, Lorraine Hanyok; two brothers, Lee Muscavitch and Pete Muscavitch; five sisters, Frances Giles, Emma Orban, Nellie Mayhut, Helen Mucko, and Leona Muscavitch.
