George Whoolery

He was born December 31, 1946 in Khedive a son of Rita Wich Whoolery of Odenton, MD and the late Arthur Whoolery.

George was a veteran who served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was a retired coal miner at Dilworth Mine.

George was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 1980 and the International Brotherhood of Iron Workers Local 201.

On May 26, 1968 he married Katherine Rasinski, who survives.

Also surviving are two children, Stacy Keremes and her husband Mike of Canonsburg, and Michael Whoolery and his wife Jennifer of Canonsburg; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Sydney, and Ellee; two sisters, Judy White of Odenton, MD and Dolores Glowa of Summerville, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc.1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017, with the Pastor Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
