He was born January 26, 1938 in Mather, a son of the late John R. and Thelma G. Tuttle Callahan.
Mr. Callahan was a graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School class of 1957.
Jim worked for several years at the former Howard’s Grocery and several years at Weyerhaeuser in Jefferson.
He was a lifelong faithful member of the Mather Christian Church.
Surviving are his long-time companion, Rose DiPasquale of Clarksville, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased are a sister, Helen Hilverding; two brothers, John “Jack” Callahan and Charles “Tom” Callahan.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm Friday, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
