He was preceded in death by his parents and one son. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Paula K. Walter; 11 children, 26 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
James Walter was pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church of Vestaburg, PA for 30 years. Pastor Walter worked for Columbia Gas for 30+ years and Energy Corporation of America for 10+ years.
Along with his immediate family, Pastor Walter was surrounded by a community who loved him. He never met a stranger; he was full of life and love and left joy with everyone he met.
