
He was born on June 18, 1946 in Brownsville, a son of the late John and Frances Brazen Glister.
Mr. Glister was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School, a graduate of E.I. P. of Pittsburgh.
He was a Senior Metallurgist at Gerdau Macsteel in Monroe, MI and retired from General Motors and American Axle.
He and Audrey loved traveling, his grandchildren, his Camaro’s and “Ellen” his Siamese cat.
On December 30, 1965 he married Audrey Ostrich, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James Glister of Warren, MI, David Glister and his wife Dawn of Warren, MI; a daughter, Susan Glister-Berg and her husband Ramon of Macomb Township, MI; 5 grandchildren, Zakary, Aleksa and Hali Fortuna, Ashleigh and Austin Glister; a brother, Robert Glister and his wife Valerie of Clarksville; a sister, Barbara Basinger and her husband Woody of Waynesburg; a brother-in-law to, Thelma Pushak and her husband John of Baden, Arthur Ostrich of Marianna and Raymond Ostrich and his wife Debbie of Jefferson.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the hour of services on Saturday, May 14, 2011, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road. Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, with the Rev. Ernest DeLuca officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behmfuneralhomes.net.
