Raymond E. "Gene" Henderson

He was born November 23, 1953 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Raymond W. and Naomi Harvey Henderson.

Mr. Henderson was a 1971 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School.

He had worked as a clinical assistant in Beverly Health Care Center, Waynesburg.

Mr. Henderson had attended Greene Valley Church of God, was a member of the SEIU Local #1199, he enjoyed wood working and was an avid race car fan.

On March 4, 2000 he married Sallie Tennant, who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Jason Bell of Waynesburg, Chastity Kirby of Waynesburg, George A. Bell of Carmichaels and Angela Bell of Prosperity; five grandchildren, Jordan, Nathan, Blake, Brynn and Addison; three brothers, Robert Wayne Henderson of Westerville, OH, Kevin Scott Henderson of Pataskala, OH, and Stephen G. Henderson of Blacklick, OH; a sister, Danetta Comer of Rices Landing.

Deceased are a daughter, Melissa Bell; a brother, Gary Lee Henderson and a sister, Ann Godfrey.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 with the Rev. Gregory Stauffer officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson.
