Sonja Marlene Ball, 79 of Waynesburg, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Washington Health System Greene.

She was born June 27, 1939 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Arthur R. and Helen Louise Church Clayton.

Sonja was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson High School.

She was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #954, Jefferson.

On July 25, 1959 she married Hilary Richard Ball, who died February 23, 1980.

Surviving are four children, April Ball of Waynesburg, Randy (Darla) Ball of Waynesburg, Brian (Joan) Ball of Carmichaels, and Tamara Ball Grash of Carmichaels; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, James A. Clayton of Waynesburg.

Deceased is an infant daughter, Kimberly Sue Ball.
