

David Wayne Tucker, affectionately known as “Wayne”, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, at the age of 84 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Born on June 3, 1940, in Greig, New York, he was a man of robust spirit and dedication, known for his strong work ethic and a deep commitment to his family.
David served with distinction as an MP in the Army, where he embraced the discipline and camaraderie that military life offered. He carried these values throughout his life, influencing both his personal and professional endeavors.
After his military service, David embarked on a successful career in landscaping and irrigation. He was the founder and CEO of Dave’s Landscaping and Irrigation, a company he started in New Jersey, which grew to be a significant enterprise under his leadership before he sold it in the 1990s. His entrepreneurial spirit was a testament to his dedication and hard work.
David was a dedicated husband to his wife, Ann Francis (Church), and a loving and devoted father to his sons, David, Randy, and Jeffrey; his 6 grandchildren Ashley, Mathew, Nicole, Zachary, Caden and Samantha and his great granddaughter Phoebe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Glenn, and his siblings, Douglas, Robert, and Marilyn. His life was a reflection of the love and strength he shared with his family and friends.
An avid enthusiast of muscle cars, David spent many weekends building and racing cars with his sons in Atco, New Jersey. His hobbies extended to boating, snowmobiling, camping, and coaching peewee sports. A loyal fan of Philadelphia sports teams, he also cherished time spent with his dogs and enjoyed making others laugh with his friendly sarcasm and jokes.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11AM to 2PM with a Memorial Service commencing at 12 Noon at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd. where David’s life and legacy will be celebrated and his memory honored and cherished. His jovial spirit and enduring influence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Reflecting David’s spirit of generosity, the family requests that memorial remembrances may be made to the Port St. Lucie Humane Society and Treasure Coast Hospice.
