

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jeanine Cecile Webster, who peacefully left this world while at home in Jensen Beach, FL on July 31, 2025 at the age of 74. Born in Pomona, CA, Jeanine lived a life of resilience, quiet strength, and profound caring for her community.
She is survived by her husband, Mel Nobel; brother Eric Butts of St. Louis, MO; sister Cathy (Ron) Ortiz of Gilbert, AZ; nieces Chelsey (Zach Bradburn) Butts of Shawnee, KS; Courtney R. (Mike) Pingleton of St. Louis, MO; Christina (Jeffrey) Nolan of Santan, AZ; Stephanie Ortiz-Low of Gilbert, AZ; Audrey Hansen of Mesa, AZ; nephews Patrick (Fay) Ortiz of Fayetteville, NC; Marcus Hansen of Mesa, AZ; stepdaughters Beth (Vincent) Pasceri of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Sara Nobel of Orlando, FL, as well as many grand nieces, grand nephews, grandchildren, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Lori Hansen of Meza, AZ.
Jeanine graduated from Lindenwood College (now Lindenwood University) in St. Charles, MO with a BA in Philosophy (1972), received her Masters from Florida Institute of Technology (1995), and attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Early in her career, Jeanine held management posts in companies such as Neiman Marcus, where she rose to the top tier of leadership at the NM flagship Dallas store. In 1984, she was accepted into Merrill Lynch’s brokerage trainee program and upon completion moved to Martin County. In 2012, she capped her more than 40 years of work as a financial planner by moving to UBS Financial Services in Stuart, where she served as First Vice President of Wealth Management, one of the few women in the country to hold such a designation. As a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Wealth Strategist and a Chartered Financial Consultant, Jeanine worked with clients across the United States.
Active in community and civic life, Jeanine began volunteering in community theater upon moving to Martin County and met her soon-to-be husband Mel there. She was an active member of Soroptimists, serving multiple terms as president. Jeanine also donated her time as a member of the boards of the Martin County Education Foundation and Cleveland Clinic Martin Health Foundation. She was elected president of the Lindenwood Alumni Association Board and served as the alumni representative on the University’s Board of Directors. She was active in a wide range of community organizations and charitable projects.
An accomplished quilter, Jeanine loved to travel both domestically and internationally, to visit antique shops across the world, and was always ready for a new adventure. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, August 8th between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd., Jensen Beach, FL. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 9th at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 623 East Ocean Blvd., Stuart, FL. A celebration of life luncheon will follow.
