Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Moses and Bertha (Barowsky) Romm. She lived in South Hadley, MA before moving to the Treasure Coast.
She graduated from Holyoke High School, Holyoke, MA as valedictorian of her class of 1941 and went on to graduate from Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing, New York, NY in 1944 as a Registered Nurse. She had a rewarding nursing career at Holyoke Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband Noel R Couture and three brothers, Ittamar, Elliot and Avrom Romm. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Czerwiec and her husband Joseph of Easthampton, MA and Barbara Hahn of Granby, MA, stepdaughter Karen Bosscher of Lubbock, TX and stepson Glenn Couture and his wife Susan of New Braintree, MA, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
