It is with great sorrow that the family of Marie Gosk, 90, announces that she passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022. A 24-year resident of Jensen Beach, Marie was pre-deceased by her husband Charles “Charlie” Gosk in 2004.
She was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Flanigan) Messier and lived in Holden, MA for many years until retiring to Florida in 1998, where she enjoyed living on Hutchinson Island and making many friends over the past 24 years.
She loved her family and especially treasured their times together at holidays and family vacations. Always one to love a party or take a cruise, she lived life to the fullest and was happiest when she was surrounded by people she loved and who loved her. Most recently, she enjoyed her 90th birthday party on July 3rd with friends and family, rising to the occasion despite some setbacks in her health.
Along with her husband and brother Joe, Marie ran “The Millbrook” diner in Worcester, MA from the mid-sixties until 1986 and prior to that she worked at her father’s restaurant, “Messier’s”, a popular late-night spot reknowned for its seafood. She then later ran the Airport Restaurant in Leominster, MA with her husband for a few years.
She leaves her daughter, Karen Fabregat, of Jensen Beach, FL, a son, Stephen Gosk (Gina) of Peachtree City, GA, and five grandchildren. She leaves her brother, Joseph H. Messier (Cathy) of East Brookfield, MA, sister Loretta Quinlan (Jack), of Plymouth, MA, and brother Roger Messier of Port St. Lucie, FL, pre-deceased by sister Jeanne (Frank) Kimball of Worcester, MA and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held later in the year.
