Scott William York

Scott was born February 18, 1970 in South Bend, Indiana to Virginia Martin-York and Thomas York. He moved to Jensen Beach, Florida when he was two years old and was raised there. He moved to Russellville, Tennessee in 2001 and lived there until he moved back to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2024.

Scott loved to surf and ride dirt bikes in his teenage years. He was a major football fan his whole life and his favorite teams were the Miami Dolphins and the Hurricanes. He loved listening to rock music and going on hikes in the mountains of Tennessee. Most important to Scott was the time he spent with his family, anyone you ask would tell you he’s the most caring and loving person they’ve met. He always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. He will be missed greatly by his many family and friends.

Scott is survived by his father, Thomas York; son, Damon York; step-son, Nick Fernandez; daughter, Sara York; grandchildren, Nova York, Phoenix York, Reid Fernandez, and Maddison York; sisters, Lisa York and Tammy Wall; niece, Alexia Fernandez; great niece, Harmony Shoaf; son-in-law, Tristian Coy

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Scott’s life will take place at Aycock Funeral Home, located at 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957, on January 28, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
