Brian Wesley Ellis, age 60, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Erwin, Tennessee, a son of the late Charles Arnold Ellis and Billie Jean Crane Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Effie Crane; his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Billie Ellis; and cousin, Michael Crane.
Brian attended the drive-in service at University Parkway Baptist, Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church and Christ Fellowship Church. He retired with 37 years of service from BrightRidge Electric as the Service Department Manager. He loved being part of the Mercedes Benz AMG Enthusiast Club, traveling, speed boating, and was an avid University of Tennessee and Nascar fan.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Amy Ross Ellis; one brother and sister-in-law, Brad Ellis and wife Shannon; one sister, Beth Ellis; special daughter, Kendrick Rockwell; uncle and aunt, Crandle and Evelyn Crane; cousins, Jeff Crane and Lisa Crane Ritter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Julia Pearson; special friends, Rodney and Angie Metcalf; a host of numerous other friends to many to list; and his loving companion, Daisy.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 PM with Eulogy to be delivered by his friend Rodney Metcalf. Private Entombment will be held in the Chapel Mausoleum at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
