Elmer "Bud" Winfield Jackson

Elmer "Bud" Winfield Jackson, age 89, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Jonesborough, Tennessee, a son of the late Frank Jackson and Edith Price Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Jackson.

Mr. Jackson was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and Army. During his time in service he received the following decorations and citations: National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He is survived by one son, Shannon Jackson and wife Misty; two grandchildren, Tai Jackson and fiance Shamya and Madison Jackson; one great grandson, Draven Jackson; two brothers, Scotty Jackson and wife Lilly, and Bobby Jackson and wife Cathy; four sisters, Shirley Bennett and husband Stanley, Sue Casteel and husband Wayne, Nancy Casteel, and Pam Edwards and husband Jerry; and several nieces nephews.

Committal Service and Inurnment will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors to be rendered by the American Legion Post #3-265 Honor Guard.
