Helen Doris Oliver, age 91, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the Lakebridge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Herburt Neal and Mamie Carter Neal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George “Bud” William Oliver, Jr.; and three brothers, Robert Neal, Ralph Neal, and Elmer Neal.
Helen was a member of the Asbury Presbyterian Church and retired as a Telephone Operator from United Intermountain Telephone Company. She loved working crossword puzzles, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by three children, Doris Ann Dayton and husband Gary, Jeffrey Oliver and wife Angela, and David Oliver and wife Kim; five grandchildren, Tara Baker and husband Cory, Jordan Oliver and wife Kaylea, Kayli Oliver, Seth Oliver and Koby Oliver; three great grandchildren, Gavyn Baker, Elowen Oliver, and Hunter Trimm; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Presnell and husband David; two brothers and sister-in-law, Argil Neal, and Tom Neal and wife Nancy; one sister-in-law, Norma Newton; one brother-in-law, Gary Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.
Committal Service and Interment will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, March 25, 2025 in the Chapel of Monte Vista Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Hinshaw. A Private Burial will be in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her family.
