She is survived by her husband Guy Albert DiFranco, daughter Remi May Flaherty, son-in-law Chad Michael Flaherty, grandsons Jacob Michael Flaherty and Jadon Tyler Flaherty of Rock Hill, SC., adopted son Jordan Salam DiFranco of Seatle, WA., sisters Barbara Mick and Ina Briggs of Elizabethton, TN., nieces Tonya Milam, Ruth Mooney, Christie Briggs, and nephew Bruce Mick.
Patricia graduated from Elizabethton High, TN, in May 1959. She continued her education at East Tennessee State Johnston City with a B.S. in Education in June 1967. She then went on to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary earning a M.R.E. in July 1968 and a Specialist in Education, August 1969.
Patricia married Guy Albert DiFranco on April 4, 1970, in Jos, Nigeria, West Africa. In their 54 years of marriage, they lived and worked as tent making missionaries in Nigeria (8 yrs.), Honduras (half yr.), Seoul, South Korea (10 yrs.), Kuwait (3 yrs.), and Tunisia (7 yrs.). They traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Australia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2024 at River Life Fellowship Church, 2487 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, NC 28117.
