Uncle David- what a light on this world. So many fantastic memories- from watching Uncle David get a giant slingshot & launch water balloons into Lake Manistee when I was a little girl to seeing who could get the best pictures of wildlife in Big Sky, shooting skeet for the 1st time or a surprise basketball game and bonfire with our family at the Roof Management airplane hanger, the 1st time I ever tried duck (4 year old me thinking ‘that’s my adventurous uncle!’) and so much wisdom- 2 of my favorite Uncle David quotes - on advice in business ‘I always keep my promises and follow through on what I say I’m going to do’ to reflections on life ‘little kids laughing and running in the house-the best sounds in the world’. Such an inspiration to me and my family- thank you Uncle David, words cannot describe how blessed we have been to have you in our lives-we love you and miss you dearly.

I’m am so sorry about the loss of your Dad, Lisa. He was an amazing man who could brighten any room (just like you!). I feel so grateful to have known him. We had so many fun times and laughs with him throughout ECVB. His spirit lives on through you! Love you.

Pat and family, I am so sorry for David’s passing and your loss!
I’ve known David for many many years, I met him while serving on the Union County Airport Authority, serving as it’s president for about ten years. David and I worked together trying to put together a hangar and a showcase for Roof Management Airplanes on the airport grounds. David and I wanted it to happen, but we’re unable to work it out with the board. David was a very generous man and always gave generously to our Marysville ‘Ride for Kids’, a motorcycle ride that we do every year benefitting the ‘Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’.
We always called each other ‘Cus’ when met, even tho we don’t think we were related. As good a guy as David was I would like to think we were related someplace back up the line.
I would like to visit with family and friends today, but with the COVID getting worse, please accept my Condolences.
David will be missed but not forgotten!

We have known David for 45 years. We tell everyone we know that the most amazing thing about him is that he never changed. His success at Roof Management simply allowed him to positively impact more lives. It was never about power and money. It was always about giving back and paying it forward. The humble, caring, gregarious man we met in 1975 remained true to himself. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A devoted friend. A selfless business leader. David was the kindest person we ever met, but do not confuse kindness with weakness. David was also the strongest person we have ever known. “A mighty oak has fallen “, but he planted seeds around the world. This world is a better place because of him!
Our deepest sympathy to our best friend Pat, Christopher, Lisa, Andrea, Bill, Aubrey, Austin, Ellie and Louie. We love you all!

Dear Pat and the Denman family,
Linda and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Dave's passing. We will cherish the memories we have of Dave. Our friendship goes back to the 70s and 80s, and it began when we were neighbors at the Shadows apartments. From there we became neighbors again, when we also moved to Shady Ridge Drive. Dave and I shared interests in flying and sports cars. I still recall flying with Dave in my Cessna 172 Skyhawk around the Ohio countryside with maybe a stopover at Put-in-Bay. A few years later, we happened to be vacationing on Marco Island FL at the same time as Dave, Pat, Christopher, and Lisa, and we got together for a quick visit. When Dave and Pat moved to Dublin, we would stop by to say Hi from time to time. Dave also stopped in to see us when he visited former neighbors and friends on Shady Ridge Drive. Dave was such a great guy to be around. Pat and family, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
With warm thoughts and care,
Ron and Linda Bayma

Pat, Chris and Lisa,
Kevin and I were so shocked and saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Dave and your family were so kind and generous to Jed, taking him to Colorado for the first time where he lives today. I know that Dave will be truly missed, but we never really lose the people we love. He will be with all of you in every act, thought and decision you make. You all are in our thought are prayers.

Pat, Chris and Lisa, I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. Dave and I spent a lot of time flying to do roof surveys, and one thing for sure that I learned from that time and our conversations, was that he loved and was very proud of his family.
Dave was a kind, compassionate and generous man. His great smile, positive attitude and friendly demeanor lit up a room and always made you feel welcome and comfortable. He was very humble and paid forward. With Roof Management, I saw how he gave opportunities to many young adults to improve themselves and be successful.
I look back fondly on the great memories I have of the “adventures” we took during those roof surveys and still talk about many of them to this day
Dave lived and enjoyed life and his family to the fullest. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time

Dear Denman Family and Friends,
We fondly remember meeting Dave and Pat through Elmhurst College women’s volleyball where Lisa was a starter on a very talented team. When our daughter joined the team, Dave and Pat enthusiastically welcomed us to the “family” of parents who earnestly followed the team. Over time we would come to learn that our experience was typical of how Dave and Pat embraced others. Greeting others with warmth, grace, and kindness was their norm. Especially, Dave approached you with a hearty smile, genuine friendliness, and a sincere interest in what was going on in your life. He had the quality of making you feel at ease and at home. We remember Dave’s generosity. While at a volleyball tournament in Wisconsin we mentioned our need to be in Champaign Urbana to attend an event for our other daughter who was attending U of I. Dave immediately offered to fly us there and back. Classic Dave behavior! We’ve managed to stay connected to Dave and Pat through the continuing friendship of our daughters and were saddened to learn of his recent health challenges and ultimate passing. To say that he will be missed would be an understatement. But as life goes on we always remain connected to those who have made a difference in our lives through shared experiences, and memories. His positive spirit, his welcoming nature, his words of encouragement will live on in those whose lives he touched. What a wonderful legacy! We shall always remember Dave with a smile on our face. We think he would like that.
With condolences and kind regards,
Ron and Nancy Bearwald

To the Denman Family and the Roof Management Team;
David Denman was a Good Man! If you judge a person by his actions, then I am confident that David is a person that we should all try to emulate.
David was a positive and generous person. He loved his family (immensely), his company and his friends.
As a roof consultant, I admired how much he appreciated the roofing contractor. He wanted the best for the building owner, but he always made sure that the roofing contractor was treated fairly.
The world needs more David Denmans!

Pat, and David's siblings,
My most sincere condolences to each of you. Dave was a unique kinda guy who always made people around him happy to call Dave a friend. Growing up in Johnstown enabled people to create and maintain lifelong friendships. I remember several wonderful adventures with Dave before he met Pat, I believe that was while skiing near Mansfield. Dave was in love at first sight! Dave was always so full of life, and always smiling while driving his VW Bug many years ago. I was always proud to call Dave my friend and will miss him, especially his exuberance to fly and enjoy life like so few others get to experience. Peace brother! Hemi

Dear Denman Family,
Here is my most memorable story of Uncle David:
Back in 2009, I was attending college and majoring in Business Management. I was assigned a project to conduct an interview of an entrepreneur. Of course I chose David with his skills, success, and handling of conflicts. He was thankful that I chose him and it put a smile on his face. He stated, “I think that an entrepreneur is the result of past experiences and the tough knocks one takes in the working world. If an opportunity presents itself there has to be a desire or ‘fire in the gut’ to make it happen." With his care, teamwork, and determination, he excelled at what is still today, Roof Management. Which I got an A on, by the way. :)
He and his family always went above and beyond to show up to all of my special events. Not only did he make his appearance, but he made it fun with either shooting, flying, games, you name it! Never a dull moment. Always glass half full kind of guy. He repeated often, 'family is everything, family comes first.' I still can't believe he is gone. Too soon.
Love, Michelle (and Fede) Amieva

It was with great sadness that I learned of David's passing. In my experience Dave was a person who drew people in. His passion and drive came through in all he did. And it was contagious. He possessed the ability to make each person feel like they were the most important thing going on in that moment of interaction. I truly looked forward to each meeting or phone conversation with Dave. The counsel, insights, and guidance he offered were always welcome and valuable. He will certainly be missed by many, including me. From myself and the Carlisle family, to the entire Denman and Roof Management family, we send our deepest sympathies. I trust that the lifetime of memories you have with Dave will help fill the hole in your hearts, at least a little, in this difficult time.
With Deepest Respect,
Greg Petschke

Pat, Chris, Lisa, Debbie, Susie, and Tim,
I was very sorry to hear of David's passing! David was a very close friend since 1957. The last few years we mainly spoke by emails, texts and an occasional chat on the phone. A few months ago, David flew down for some recertification courses and we went out to eat at a local restaurant! It was just like old times! David was a great friend, great husband, great father, great brother and a fabulous friend! He will be missed by myself, family and friends!
See you down the road,
Rick Morrow and Family!

Mr. Denman is and always will be a role model of mine. He sparked the entrepreneur desire in my heart and in the way I think of things. No business owner/ boss / or man can compare to him he had his own way of doing things and it was one of the things I loved most about him. My days were better when he was in the office I’d go out of my way to see or talk to him in hopes I’d hear another crazy story about his life or his latest business venture and most of all advice. He had the type of life you only read about from the things he saw or did. Mr. Denman took a chance on a young college kid (19) with no experience and quite frankly no work drive and with no force had a huge impact on how I’ll live my life forever. Im now 24 and left the company 3 months ago to take a role that’ll help my dads business in hopes we’ll one day be like the Denman’s I’m grateful for those 5 years more than anyone will ever know. I’m so sorry Pat your husband was a great man. Chris and Lisa I’m sorry for your loss and I wish I could be there to celebrate the amazing life he had. Rest In Peace Mr. Denman I hope you’ll be there for every business decision Ill make.

David had the uncanny knack of being able to walk into any room and own it with his energy, enthusiasm, and wonderful spirit. But his ability to make those around him feel appreciated and respected is what I will miss the most. David valued personal relationships and the people who surrounded him. One to always lend some advice or a helping hand, David’s willingness to support others made him a very special person and unique to our industry. My sincerest condolences to the Denman family and Roof Management team. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God bless.

My deepest sympathy to each of you, Pat, Lisa, and Christopher, in the passing of your husband and father. There aren't words to fill the void you are feeling during these most difficult of days, but know that Dave and his optimistic and outgoing approach to life and business made this world and the Roofing Industry a better place. Division 7 Roofing had a great working relationship with Dave for somewhere around 30 years and he will be greatly missed. May God grant you peace as you move forward as Dave would want, and wisdom and insight to carry on with Roof Management, and most importantly, your lives. I can't help but hear Dave saying... "Heaven, this is Triple Niner One Four inbound for landing!"

My sincerest sympathies in Dave's loss. He had a profound influence on both Windward Roofing and the roofing industry overall. I've had the absolute pleasure in working with Dave over the last several years and he had a way about him that that made everyone feel they were of the highest importance. I personally, will truly miss Dave from the bottom of my heart.
