

Don Harvey Sr. 79, of Whitehall, Ohio formerly of Johnstown, Ohio died Wednesday morning March 4, 2015 at the home of his daughter, Leslie (Gene) Davis surrounded by his children following an 8-week battle with cancer.
Born December 21, 1935 in Mallory, West Virginia he was the only son of the late Okla Harvey and Mabel (Asbury) Morone. He was a 1953 graduate of Man High School in Man, West Virginia.
Don was a current employee of DNO Produce in Columbus, Ohio where he worked for several years.
As a former businessman in Johnstown, Don enjoyed time as President of the Johnstown Village Council, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Johnstown and the Operator/Manager of Twin Court Motel in Whitehall, Ohio.
Don’s hobbies included his volunteer work with youth football and as an announcer for Johnstown football at both the youth and high school level. He loved his trips to Huntington, West Virginia every other year for the Man High School class reunions with his sons, Kevin and Brad.
Surviving Don are his sister, Delores (Sis) Brown of Newport News, Virginia; four sons, Don (Jill) Harvey, Jr. and Brad Harvey of Johnstown; Kevin (Lisa) Harvey of Centerburg, Ohio and Keith (Lynn) of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Robin (Duane) Hazlett, Whitehall, Ohio and Leslie (Gene) Davis of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Barbara Lee his son Greg, daughter Dawn, and his sister Joyce Watkins.
Calling hours will be 4pm to 7pm Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home 225 N. Main St. Johnstown, Ohio 43031. Calling hours will also be held on Monday, March 9 from 10am-11am followed by the funeral services beginning at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Dan McLaughlin officiating.
Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, Ohio.
