George M. Ford

George M. Ford, 91 of Johnstown, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Village of Westerville Retirement Center. George was born on June 9, 1920, in Condit, OH. to the late Chester and Leora (Searles) Ford. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N Main St., Johnstown, OH with Pastor Calvin Alexander officiating. Burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.

George was a lifelong farmer in the Johnstown area, auctioneer, he owned and flew his own plane, member of the US Army during WWII, a 70 year member of the Center Lodge #86 F & AM of Johnstown and member of the American Legion Post #254 of Johnstown. Lifelong member of the Miller Memorial United Methodist Church

George is survived by his son,Gary Ford, grandson, Ryan (Andrea) Ford, sister, Mildred Lupp, nephew, Robin Hance. George is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Betty L. Ford, daughter-in-law Sharon Ford.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM. There will be a 7 PM Masonic Service also on Friday. Memorial Contributions can be made in loving memory of George to The American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
