George James Kostura, 75, of Westerville, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at his residence. He was born on March 17, 1948 in Cleveland, OH, a son to the late George and Elizabeth (Stackhouse) Kostura.
George graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s and a Masters of Social Work. He became a dedicated social worker for the State of Ohio until his retirement. He loved his family, travel, camping outdoors and old European sports cars.
George is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathleen Kostura; daughter, Kacey (Kostura) Schmitt; son-in-law Robert Schmitt; son, James Kostura; daughter-in-law, Gretchen Kostura; grandsons, William Kostura and Cooper Kostura; brother, Richard Kostura and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of George’s life for family and friends will be held in September. Additional details to follow.
