

James “Jim” M. Runyon, 85, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, at Flint Ridge Village, Newark, OH. Funeral services will be 10 AM on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Johnstown, with Pastor Eva Marie Wolfe and Pastor Roger Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
Jim was born April 25, 1927 in Logan, WV to the late Andrew and Mabel (Langley) Runyon. Jim served in the US Navy during WWII. Jim was a farmer, carpenter and mechanic. Jim retired after 20 years of service from Gahanna Jefferson School District. He was a member of the Appleton United Methodist Church.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Gloria, his children; Arlene Dee (Lowell) Rhodeback, Dean (Nancy) Runyon, Debbie Runyon, Dennis (Mary) Runyon all of Johnstown, OH, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandsons along with many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Jim is preceded in death by two brothers John Alfred and Clarence Runyon, two grandchildren Renata and Kyle Rhodeback.
