Nancy Ann Whittle

Nancy Whittle, 76 of Johnstown, passed away at her residence on March 3, 2012. Born on February 8, 1936 to the late Alvin Thomas and Grace Eva (Fink) Blake in Columbus, Ohio. Nancy graduated from The Ohio State University in 1965 with a Bachelor’s in Education. She taught at Northridge Hartford School for over 17 years. Nancy was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Hertuk Chapter and Miller Memorial United Methodist Church. She was an avid genealogist and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and scrapbooking. After retirement Nancy and Kenneth enjoyed seeing the United States in their RV. Survived by daughters Anne (Allan) Thomas, Pam (Edward) Moore and Kim (Gene) Brown, grandchildren Philomena, Alean, Samantha, Corey, Aaron, Adam, Amanda and 8 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Kenneth Howard Whittle and son Thomas Whittle. The family would like to send a special thanks to Hospice of Central Ohio and to the Hartford Volunteer Fire Department. Friends may call at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 4-7pm. Funeral service on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Calvin Alexander officiating. Burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, Ohio.
