Patricia Anne Moore

Patricia (“Patty”) Moore, age 82, of Johnstown, Ohio, surrounded by her family, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2025. She was born on September 24, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, to Reese Scott and Charlotte Moore. The middle of three children, Patty graduated from South High School and went on to attend business school after which working for National City Bank. Patty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, often described as the sweetest person you would ever meet. As a young mother, she was a Cub Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, and a mother to all the neighborhood kids that entered her home. Patty had a strong faith and loved the beach and gardening, but her greatest love was for her husband and family. Being a grandmother was her greatest joy, and she played a vital role in each of her grandchildren’s life and upbringing.

Patty is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 61 years, Leroy Moore, her beloved sons, Bryan (Sheilah) Moore; Jason (Vicki) Moore; sister Donna (Herb) Kisker; grandchildren Sarah, Allyson, Brooke, Jackson, and Grant Moore; and several nieces and nephews. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Reese Scott and Charlotte (Widdig) Moore and brother Robert W. Moore.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street, Johnstown, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow the Visitation at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you plan a day doing something that brings you the most joy with your loved ones in honor of Patty since that is the way she lived her life. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at Johnstown Pointe, who so lovingly cared for Patty for the past two years.
