It is with deepest regret that I did not hear word of Ralph's passing.  My Father, James F. Gray, held Ralph in the highest regard.  After my Father's passing in 1975 Ralph continued to take the best care of our farms which he leased.  My Mother, Harriet Gray, was very grateful for everything that Ralph did to assist her.  I am now expressing our very deep sorrow for your loss and for the loss of all of us who knew Ralph.  My brothers, Donald Gray and Roger Gray and myself, Kay (Gray) Strohen send our deepest sympathies, belatedly.

Oh Ralph, what a man you are

You were known by many, near and far

With your old straw hat and twinkling grin

It's no wonder you have so many, many friends

You were loved by many and envied by a few

Each and every one of us were lucky to have known you

You loved your family, friends, and the land so much

This giant of a man known simply as Buck

The years weren't always easy, of lift that's ever so true

But life just didn't know what to make of you

You had your own vision and was always looking ahead

That's why you gave your all in everything you did

From the future farmers of America to you Oliver's and John Deere's

You gave them your full attention, that was always to clear

Anyone who knew you, only had to ask

Anything from drainage tile to how do I get rid of crabgrass

You always made time for everyone you know

That's what made you so special and why we all loved you

It's time for us to say goodbye now as we wipe away a teat

We'll see you up in heaven riding on your John Deere

Don't worry, we'll carry on, with our shoulder to the plow

Forever keeping in our hearts your credo, just doin the best I know how

Sincere condolences to Bucks family.  Buck and I had many interesting and enlightening conversations on the driveway over the years.  It was good to see him coming down the street on his bike knowing that we would soon be involved in our stories of the past or outlining ways to straighten out the country. We'll miss you Buck.

BILL AND DONNA POTTEIGER WISH TO EXPRESS THEIR CONDOLANCES TO ANGIE AND FAMILY...........YES BUCK WAS A GOOD NEIGHBOR AND FRIEND. I ALWAY ENJOYED HIS LOVE FOR OLD TRACTORS AND HE HAD MANY A TIME GIVEN ME ADVISE ON HOW TO FIX MINE. AS A NEIGHBOR I LIKED LISTENING TO HIS STORIES HE TELL AT SHADY KNOLL TRACTOR  . TWO WINTERS WHILE BUCK SAT IN HIS WARM HOUSE AT ROBINS AND GREENCOOK ,I HAD TO ASK HIM TO COME PULL US OUT OF OUR DRIVEWAY.
, HE WOULD CHUCKLE A BIT PUT ON HIS COVERALL AND COME AND SAVE THE DAY ........THATS THE KIND OF GOOD NEIGHBOR BUCK WAS. IWAS SORRY TO HERE OF HIS PASSING.

Thoughts and prayers to Ronnie, Darlene and Tina; I've missed running in to your dad at the Hartford fair, I can remember getting up at 4:00 am with my dad to get the fair grounds to feed the hogs and running around the farm. Take care....

This circle will not seem the same without Buck riding his bike pass the house...He always had a smile for everyone.  He was quite the gentleman.  Angie, our thoughts are with you.  I will let Marylou know because she asked about you two when she was here in April and May.  Again condolences to the family and you are in our prayers.  Kelley and Al

My heart goes out to Ronnie, Darlene and Tina. Your Dad always made me smile when we were all farming back in the 70's.

Buck was a good neighbor and friend.  We will miss his smiling face and great stories.  Our deepest condolences to Angie and the family.

I remember in the 70's going with my dad to help with the farming and Buck always had an orniery grin. They were always trying to play jokes on each other and it was very entertaining. I am so sorry for your loss Ronnie, Darlene and Tina

We are saddened by Bucks passing and offer our condolences and prayers to the family.   Buck was an old friend and the kind of person you never forgot.  We had many great experiences together when we were younger and those will always be remembered.   Be comforted in the knowledge that Buck is in a far better place.

We will truly miss our conversations with Buck as his stopped by our place on his many walks and riding his bike around golf lake circle.

Buck will always be in our hearts and memories. He was a great story teller and sometimes, in case we forgot one, he would tell us again! We will miss you Buck and you will always be in our prayers. Angie we look forward to seeing you in Florida.

Buck I will miss seeing you on your bike, at the pool and your friendly hello each time you passed by our house.  Your cheerfulness always brought a smile to my face!  My deepest condolences.
