William Paul Johnson

William “Bill” Paul Johnson, age 68, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 29, 2026, he was surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on October 1, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to John and Sharon Johnson, who survive.

In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ruth Ann Johnson; children, Bill (Michelle) Johnson and Megan (Dom) Cervi; grandchildren, Cale and Bre Johnson ,and Nico and Veda Cervi; sister, Cindy (Bruce) Mahaffey; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Greg) Zachariah and Sherry Nabil; brother-in-law, Pastor Steve (Cindy) Hays; and a host of other, family, friends, and loved ones. Bill is preceded in passing by his brother, John D. Johnson; and sister, Debby Homan.

Bill retired from Technical Rubber Co. in Johnstown after 46 hard working years. He proudly served the Johnstown community for 27 years as a volunteer fireman. Bill was a longtime and faithful member of Jersey Baptist Church. He loved all sports, hunting, anything OSU, camping, cruising, and his Monday Night Football (MNF) gang. Bill loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially watching his grandchildren in all their activities.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Jersey Baptist Church, 13260 Morse Rd SW, New Albany, OH 43054. A funeral service is to immediately follow beginning at 1:00 pm at the church, with Pastor Steve Hays officiating. Bill will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery in Johnstown, Ohio.
