

William A. Siegel, 88, of Johnstown, passed away on March 20, 2015 at New Albany Care Center. He was born on June 17, 1926 in Johnstown, OH, a son to the late Frank and Hazel (Budd) Siegel. Bill graduated from Johnstown Monroe High School in 1944 and was inducted into the Johnstown Monroe High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998. He proudly served his country in two tours of duty in Europe during WWII. When Bill returned home from WWII, he followed his father and brothers into the plumbers and pipefitters trade. He has been a proud member of Local 189 for 67 years. His enjoyment in life was his family, art work and his dog, Ollie. Bill accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and enjoyed studying the Bible. He is survived by his children, Frank (Suzan), David and Patty (Bruce) Cost; grandchildren, Nathan (Dawn), Kristin (Brian) Smith, Emily, Gage, Ashleigh, Cara (Jason) Shalosky and Hilliary Cost; great-grandchildren, Brenden, Kyla, Hannah and Avery. Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine, two brothers and four sisters. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday, March 23, 2015 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Smith and Rev. Joyce Pinson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family would like to invite family and friends to join them for a luncheon at Clover Valley Golf Course following the burial.
