Please know that I have thought about you guys off and on over the years and I am so sorry to hear that Charles who was my best friend growing up in Durham,NC is no longer with us. My condolences to you.

Five years...I can't believe it. It has gone by so fast. I have thought of you all month. I have been wishing I could talk to you. I wish I could argue with you about Trish's baby over who he might look like and act like. I wish you could be here to tease Lucky about his voice changing. I just wish you were here. Still crying like it was yesterday...

I only realized today when I saw a photo of Charles that I knew him.  I paid my phone bill to him at his kiosk in Lenox Square.   I always enjoyed our brief interactions.  He was a quiet, kind person.  I will miss him.  Chris McGehee, Atlanta

One of Charles's favorite books in highschool was 'Battlefield Earth' by L. Ron Hubbard. [It's over 1000 pages long...] He always told me to read it so one day I bought it. Unforuntately I never finished it. Well last night I pulled it off the bookcase and this time I'm going to finish it, for him.

Although I did not know him, I am so very sorry to hear of the terrible senseless loss of this obviously wonderful person.  I am praying that God provides comfort to his mother and family and bring Charles eternal peace.  May God bring swift justice to the ones responsible for this terrible event.

I remember Charles from high school.  Such a terrible thing to happen.  He was creative and smart.  It sounds like he was a hero.

I am Bill Penn Apartment 8102 Lisa is my neighbor and I met Charles while I was on my patio when he would visit Lisa..Charles was a gentleman, always spoke and chat a bit.the three of us went to dinner last month before Lisa with to India for work..Charles 'was beyond cool'! I will miss his smile!
