Mr. Coy Alexander Phillips, Sr, age 70, of Jonesboro, died saturday December 4, 2010. Mr. Phillips was a self employed auto mechanic. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Orlinda Phillips; his two sons and daughters-in-law Coy and Lisa Phillips, Jr, Henry Co. and Tommy & Beth Phillips, Jonesboro ; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Ricky Pope, Jonesboro. Also survived by two grandchildren Kalyn Pope and Chad Howell; brothers Ray Phillips, William Phillips ,Okie Phillips, and Sister Billie Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents Okie Johnson and Lillie Bell (Ervin) Phillips, and his sister Phyllis Phillips. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in chapel with Rev. Jason Lyle officiating, interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 am to 9:00 PM in the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Tara Garden Chapel, Jonesboro, GA.
