

Lt. Col. David Glenn Noe, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and resident of Clayton County Georgia since 1959, passed away on May 3rd, 2012 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Lt. Col. Noe’s combined service to the National Guard and Army Reserve totaled 38 years. He retired from The Ford Motor Company in 2006, having worked at the company’s Hapeville production facility for 42 years and 8 months. Lt. Col. Noe was an active member of his community, a licensed real estate broker, antique collector, and a member of the American Legion and the Riverdale Masonic Lodge.
Lt. Col. Noe was born to Hugh Curtis and Ruth Hounshell Noe in Jonesville, Virginia on May 21, 1940. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat Ballew Noe, of Riverdale, Georgia, a son, David Glenn Noe Jr. and daughter-in-law Diana Noe, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, a daughter, Teresa Noe McBride and son-in-law Mike McBride of Hampton, Georgia, and is preceded in death by another daughter, Kelly Noe Wallace, of Marietta, Georgia and a brother, Bill Noe, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Surviving grandchildren include: Justin Wallace of Hampton, Georgia, Andrew, Brittany, and Marcie Wallace of Marietta, Georgia, Zakery Daniel of Hampton, Georgia, and David Glenn Noe III of Sharpsburg, Georgia.
Funeral services for Lt. Col. Noe will be handled by Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave., Jonesboro, Georgia, 30263. The family will receive visitors there from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday May 5th with funeral services to follow on Sunday May 6th at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Ga.
