Evelyn Naomi Pollard

Mrs. Evelyn N. Pollard, 61 of Morrow, GA died on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Mrs. Pollard was born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 19, 1952. She was a guidance counselor at Morrow Middle School in Clayton County Public Schools and a member of the leadership team at Fresh Start Christian Church in Griffin, Georgia.

Mrs. Pollard is predeceased by her father, Ernest L. Jordan, Jr.; her husband, Darryle E. Pollard, Sr.; and her son, Nathan L. Jordan. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Marion Jordan (Cason); three sisters: Frances Brown, Ernestine Overton, and DeVonne Spruill; two children: Jamila Pollard (Roger) and Roger Pollard (Lateaffia); two grandchildren: Jadon Peterson and Jazmyn McKenzie; two uncles: Leroy Cason and Theodore Cason; one nephew: Vincent Jordan; three nieces: Lorraine Taylor (Freddie), Shena’ Jordan, and Erica Spruill, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and the wake will be on Thursday, June 5, 2014, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 11:00 am. All services will be held at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Avenue, Jonesboro, Georgia, (770) 471-7171. Internment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Georgia, and a repast will follow at Tara Garden Chapel.
