Mr. Horace L. Clark

Horace Lee Clark, known as “Pete” to many was born December 16, 1931 in Cedar Grove, GA to the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Ollie Mae Clark. Horace was the second of 5 boys. He leaves to cherish a devoted wife Zenoma Clark, one brother Herman ( Jewel ) Clark, four daughters, Jeanette Clark, Annie L. Williams ( Calvin ), Bobbie Long (Tommy ), and Nancy Bowden ( William ). He also leaves 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Horace (Pete) gave his life to Christ at an early age. He moved to Detroit, MI in 1964 where he ws employed with Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He became a Mason in 1964 where he served as a faithful member until his health took a toll. Mr. Clark and his wife moved to Morrow, GA in 2010. During this time he became a member and served on the deacon board at Paradise Church of God in Christ.

He departed this world on Friday, April 13, 2012 where he is now united with his parents and other brothers. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 12 Noon at Paradise Church of God in Christ, with Mr. Lying in state beginning at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family will receive friends Friday, April 20, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
