

James "Stan" Pullen, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on March 17, 2026, at University of Utah Hospital. Born on June 8, 1940, in Dothan, Alabama, Stan lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a wonderful sense of humor that touched many lives.
Stan proudly served in the United States Navy. He married his high school sweet heart, Mary Beth, on October 6, 1962 and they moved to Jonesboro, Georgia where they lived for 45 years. He dedicated 31 years to Delta Air Lines and led the largest engine repair shop before retiring in Atlanta. His commitment extended beyond his career in Atlanta; moving to Lake Wales, where he was a faithful member of Shady Hammock Baptist Church and actively involved in his community as a member of the Masons and Shriners. Known for his entertaining spirit, Stan brought joy as a clown for the Shriners and helped raise money for the children's hospital. He loved traveling, going on adventures, and was deeply involved in the activities of his children and grandchildren.
Stan was a loving family man. He shared 63 years of marriage with his wife, Mary Beth Pullen. He is also survived by his children, Michael Pullen and his wife Beth of Senoia, Georgia, Kim McGlinn and her husband Dan O'Connor of Park City, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Virginia Pullen and his brother, John Buckner Pullen.
A graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Jonesboro, Georgia on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
