Born and Raised With Love
Her life filled with Brothers and Sisters that helped her find God in everything they did.
Her father and mother held her in baptism in the saint john river on a warm Florida Morning. Must have been a sight to see.
She Loved to swim, and she once told me she swam across the saint john's river just to show her sister she could, almost didn't make it! But she smiled at me and said i learned how to float that morning and i rested and got back to swimming , and well, here i am. I asked her , But Mom how about coming back ? I took the fairy !! She said and continued to wash the dishes. My Mother
She went to High school and finished, and a lot was happening in the end of world war 2 , everyone was starting to build their lives back together, and Mom wanted to find her a new one too, so Her Brother Dana lived and worked in Georgia had got married and Convinced Mom to Visit , Bus Ride ! did not take much arm twisting, you know, she never told me how she got the money for the trip.
Urmia , her brothers new wife showed her around and introduced her to her friends and she told me that she fell in love with her new Sister. this was another story that lasted through out their lives. Well Mom was set up, yes a blind date. Dana and Urmia new A.J. Turner who lived close and was single and had a Car, was a Member of National Guard and was kinda a Cool Cat. He literally fell in love with Mom at first sight...Mom did not, and was a little bit scared and overwhelmed by him. Mom was only 15... but he was 22 ! yea.... He would not leave her alone... wrote letters... followed her to Florida ! wrote love letters etc... well he wore her down, and to make a long story shorter... Alvin her other brother signed for her to get married because Her Dad would Not ! Thought he was a Nut !...
Mom and Dad Started their Family and their first child died at birth, he was to be named Andrew. They tried again and this time Angie a little girl was gifted to them, then Poof ! Andy was delivered but had forceps used due to being rotated in her small womb, he had gotten tangled with the ambilocal cord and it was a tough birth for both Andy and Mom. 2 year proceeded and BOOM ! Tony ...then another 2 ALLAN ! then...Artie ! STOP ! all living together in a 2 bedroom house.
Mom and Dad had a lot on their Plate... Mom at home, Dad out bringing home the bacon... Life was hard, but one does not miss something you never had, We had each other, and a home mom kept in love. Not just words we lived it.
Mom was our world !! She held us, she feed us, she washed us, she clothed us, She cleaned our beds, she took us to the doctor, and the most important thing she did was she brought us all to church to learn about GOD. She read to us from her Bible, she planted seeds in us for the holy sprit to live in us.
The Greatest Gift a Mother could ever do, my mother Achieved in each of her children. We are So blessed, " To be her Children". I give you this brief Story of my Moms Life, as a Small glimpse of her. She was So much More, one i will share until my children children remember where they came from, this is my prayer.
