Hi baby, It's the day after Christmas and I am finally able to come to this book and write to you. Wow ..it's been rough duke. We have talked about you everyday and this I know will never stop. You are loved so much honey and I know you can see all of your family and friends loving on you.
For me , I am very fortunate to have been your mother and honored to have shared life with you. Sweetheart I carry you with me everyday and lift your light to the world every chance I get. And Kyle next time around (and you know what I mean), you stay and I'll leave first okay??? LOL. Kyle you would tell me all the time I'm the strongest woman you know and now I believe you. Because without that amazing strength you speak of, this conversation would not be possible. Ms. Jackie sends here love and I'll keep you updated on different things periodically. Even though you already know what's going on before we do. So as you know Lamont and Krista have been communicating and he will be staying here with me, just like you wanted. Hit me back anyway you need to.... and we'll talk later. Love you Zompibompbadoomboom.

Kyle was an entrepreneur from the time he was born. Most recently he was the CEO of Truecali and Dirty Forks clothing line. Along with the love of his life, Krista Hicks, he was the owner and operator of KH2
Transportation. One of his true passions was video producing and editing. He was also a photographer, a manager for entertainers, and a songwriter. 
Kyle loved writing, carpentry, freestyling, cooking and being around good people. 
You were lucky if you were one of them.

Whether you knew him as Kyle, MiKyh, Pilz, Dukka or Precious, he will always be remembered for his outgoing personality, his giant bear hugs, his sense of humor, and of course, his sense of fashion and style.

When Bad Things Happen to Good People

When bad things happen to good people
When the person with the most hope
Is diagnosed with cancer
When the person with the most faith
Is tested spiritually beyond measure
When the person who gives out the most trust
Is constantly hurt by someone else
When the person who is full of life
Is taken away from life itself
Often we say it's such a bad thing
For things like these to happen
But who's to say what's bad and what's not
Because the word bad is only relative to an opinionated thought
Every trial and tribulation is what makes life continue on
Every bump and obstacle in the road is what
eventually makes us strong
So maybe Bad isn't such a bad thing at all.

The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.

These kind words where sent to me when Kyle passed, this sums up everything that Kyle was/is to me, and I was strong enough to read it at the funeral service :
 Krista, I just wanted to let you know that you have been heavily on my mind and God dropped these words in my spirit to just let you know that I always "felt" that Kyle was a good match for you and what is so evident, (and most importantly), is that the two of you felt it too. You were given an amazing opportunity to experience love on an exponential level!  God trusted Kyle with that assignment and purposed him with that role in your life. He provided a good example to you of what a man loving a woman really looks like, feels like, tastes like. Rest in the fact that Kyle left this cruel, cruel world in love and experiencing the same thing from/through you!  What True Love really is!  You were the one making his days, you were the one he was looking forward to seeing and you were the one he spent the rest of his life with!  Just remember that you have survived 100% of your past bad days and God will see you through these as well. Hold on to the fond memories and cling to the experience because again, there was a purpose. 
To the LOVE OF MY LIFE , you were and still are amazing! You will FOVEVER REMAIN A PART OF MY HEART .. ❤KHX2

The Angel Photo

photographer Jeff Hagerman (@sloppystick), on June 13,
2015. Jeff says: I was night-shooting with a friend and Kyle asked if he could tag along. 
We were just walking around and taking pictures of people around Centennial Olympic Park downtown. 
He was standing in front of the Westin, so I
just told him to stay still and I snapped that photo thinking the depth of field would make the lights on the Westin look like a halo to go with his Angels hat. He seemed to love the picture and it's one of my most favorite portraits that I've taken, even more so now.

Kyle loved his family hard and unapologetically. He was as real as real gets. A protector in life and an angel ever more.
