
Terry L. Anderson, a beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. Terry was Born on September 12, 1961, in Port Gibson, Mississippi, to the late Hilda Anderson, he was child number
eleven of thirteen.
Early in his childhood his mother moved the family to California, where his roots were planted. As a child, Terry was a joyful spark. His laughter filled every room, and his boundless energy brought light and warmth to everyone around him. He
found and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He received his formal education in the Compton Unified School District.
Terry’s life was one marked by enduring passion and commitment. From an early age, he demonstrated a keen interest in capturing the essence of life through the lens of a camera, ultimately becoming a gifted videographer. His work not only showcased his artistic talent but also preserved memories that
his loved ones will treasure for generations.
On September 27, 1986, Terry married the love of his life, and together they built a life filled with joy, companionship, and mutual respect. Their journey led them to Atlanta, Georgia, where they planted new roots and embraced new opportunities.
Terry was a devoted father to his cherished daughter, Atira, and a proud father-in-law to Brandon Beal, whom he welcomed into the family with open arms. Throughout his life, Terry found joy in the simple yet
profound moments—whether behind the camera, surrounded by family, or engaged in meaningful conversations. His kindness, humor, and unwavering support were gifts to all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
Terry’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched. His family, friends, and community will always remember his warmth, his dedication, and his ability to bring people together with love and compassion.
In Matthew 23:11, the word of God says the greatest in the Kingdom is the servant. From the life you lived and the tenacity with which you served, there is no doubt that you must be absolutely great in God’s kingdom.
May 11, 2025, Terry entered into God’s rest.
His memory is cherished and celebrated by his wife of thirty-eight years; Deborah, His Daughter; Atira
(Brandon), four brothers; Larry (Mary) of Beaumont, CA, Eugene (Belinda) of Cibolo, TX, Wilbert (Sharon) of Gardena, CA, and Ivory (Phyllis) of Anaheim, CA.,three Sisters; Vergie of Detroit, MI, Essie of Dearborn, MI, and Sharon (Christopher) of Ontario, CA., an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins,
other family members, and friends.
A celebration of life service for Terry will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, GA 30236. Following the celebration of life service will be an interment from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA 30236.
