Torchy had a multidimensional persona that was so unique to her own character. She was an avid golfer. She played golf well into her eighties, sometimes partnering up with the guys (and beating them). She was an avid sports fan, especially football. She excelled at trivia. She loved to travel the world. She loved people, she loved making friends; young and old. She believed in giving back to her community; she was an Al-Anon Sponsor.
Adelaide “Torchy” Couchman loved life and lived her 94 plus years to the fullest. She loved being with her family and friends. Torchy embodied the true definition of “living in the moment.” Her love was infectious. She was loved by many, and she will be dearly missed by her family members and friends. Torchy was a mentor and an inspiration to a lot of folks.. Her smile, love of life, and spirit will forever be imprinted on the hearts of all of whom were fortunate to have had her in their lives.
In short, Torchy was a “spitfire”; she was fun, she was lovable, she was “wicked” smart and most of all, she was a true and loyal friend.
