

Beverly was the only child of Jack and Edith Laurent. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Tampa, Florida. She grew up in Bartow, Florida and graduated from Summerland Institute (now Bartow High School) where she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen.
She graduated from Florida State University in 1958 with a BS degree in education. While at FSU, she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and the Flying High Circus. She was an Orange Bowl Princess in 1957. She was an artist and, in her younger days, a ballet dancer who frequently performed in Bartow. During summers, while in college, she worked as a model at Cypress Gardens. She taught school in California and Palm Beach Gardens, retiring in 1992.
Beverly met her husband, Tom while at Florida State University, and they were married for fifty five years until Tom’s death in 2014. She and Tom moved to Palm Beach Gardens in 1960, being among the few residents of the city at the time. Beverly was very active in the community for many years. She was a volunteer for the Animal Rescue League’s Cruelty Prevention Program. Beverly and Tom loved their pets. They had nine dogs and four cats during their marriage. She was a member of the Junior Woman’s Club of the North Palm Beaches, the Palm Beach County Alumnae Panhellenic Association and the First Presbyterian Church of North Palm Beach.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Edith Laurent and her husband, Thomas.
She is survived by her son, Robert L. Armer (Cathy); her daughter, Allison Andersen (John); three grandsons, Chad (Kristine), Clay (Kayla), and Jake and three great- grandsons, Coleman, Kane, and one on the way.
Beverly will be laid to rest with a Graveside Service at her family plot in Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, Florida on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Arrangements are by Aycock- Riverside Funeral Home in Jupiter, where condolences and memories may be shared. www.aycockfuneralhomejupiter.com
