Chad began his career in the plumbing trade as an apprentice under the guidance of his father, Dennis Thompson, at Wilber Plumbing, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep respect for the profession. He went on to become a skilled and respected plumber, later continuing his career as a dedicated Plumbing Project Manager for Framer and Irwin. Chad was a proud member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 360, and his father took great pride in all that Chad accomplished throughout his career.
Throughout his professional life, Chad was passionate about mentoring and teaching upcoming apprentices at the union, where he also met his fiancée, Lisa Fernandez. He took great pride in his work and in the meaningful relationships he built along the way.
Chad had an exceptionally big heart and was known for loving everyone he met. He truly cherished spending time with his family and friends and valued those moments together above all else. He was also an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Time spent outdoors brought him peace and happiness, and those moments will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving parents, Dennis and Renie Thompson; his brother, Joey (Cathy) Thompson; his sister, Beverly Thompson; nephew, Brayden Boaz, and fiancée, Lisa Fernandez, along with many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will deeply miss him.
Chad will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the genuine care he showed to others. His presence, laughter, and loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
