Charles R. Reif, 82, of Palm Beach Gardens, passed away at home on April 30, 2012. He was born on July 6,1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Lucy and Carl Reif,graduated from the University of Toledo,and married his college sweetheart, Iva.
Chuck and Iva moved permanently to Florida in 1968 and soon built and managed Trail Tire Center in West Palm Beach. After retiring,he went on to win both the Florida State Croquet Championship twice and the Southeast US Croquet Championship. Through croquet,he made many friendships and traveled extensively across the US to compete.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 58 years,Iva,daughter,Sue Kostelnik and her husband Bill, daughter,Carol Collins and her husband,Chris,and three grandchildren,Jeffrey,Kevin and Kelly Kostelnik.
