Born on May 30, 1931, in Albany, New York, Daile built a remarkable life defined by resilience, love, and devotion to her family. She shared her life with her husband, who preceded her in death in 2004. Together they raised nine children, building a home filled with love, strength, and the kind of laughter that carried through generations. Though an only child herself, Daile was blessed with a large and loving family. Over the years, her family grew to include 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren — each of whom brought her endless joy and pride.
Daile had many passions throughout her life. She was an avid reader, often found with a book in hand, and she enjoyed the quiet art of knitting, creating pieces that carried her love in every stitch. She also cherished her lifelong love of horses, finding beauty, peace, and freedom in them.
In recent years, Daile made her home in Conway, South Carolina, where she enjoyed the slower pace of life surrounded by family and memories.
Her legacy is one of strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Daile’s life will be celebrated by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
