April 4, 1947 – August 19, 2025
Diane Ruth Hicks, 78, of Jupiter, Florida and Manasquan, New Jersey, passed away on August 19, 2025, surrounded by love—in the arms of her daughters, Amy Simmonds and Beth Pillsbury, and her cherished granddaughter, Tessa Pillsbury.
Diane’s life was a radiant tapestry of devotion, adventure, and joy. Born in Neptune, New Jersey, the first daughter of Wilma Ruth Kreuger Farley and Robert W. Farley, she carried the spirit of the shore in her heart and the warmth of the Florida sun in her soul. She never lived far from the ocean, and her love for nature, animals, silliness, fun and simple pleasures was woven into everything she did.
Her presence was magnetic—beautiful inside and out, full of kindness, loyalty, and a mischievous sparkle that made you laugh when you least expected it. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, known for her gentle strength, effortless style, and the rare gift of making everyone feel truly seen. Many who knew her called her a “bright light,” and that light never dimmed.
Diane embraced life with open arms and an open heart. She traveled with treasured friends and family, found joy in the everyday, and taught us to dance wherever and whenever the mood struck. She often said she had lived a beautiful life and was at peace with her divine plan. The only thing she didn’t accomplish, she joked, was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro—but after researching it, she decided it was just too hard to get to. That was Diane: honest, funny, and full of grace.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy and Beth; her sons-in-law, John and Mark; and her five adored grandchildren: Skylar, Tessa, Elle, Grace, and Joe. Her wide circle of family and friends will carry her memory forward with reverence, laughter, and love. And that is what gives us peace.
Her light remains—bright, enduring, and forever cherished.
